Meet Roland, the peace penguin

You'll learn that I love to take pictures that probably no one cares to see. Unless you have a pathetic sense of humor, like myself, and appreciate my attempts to make eyebrows raise and smiles crack.

But hey. At least that would make you cool.

Right. So I ended up going on a family outing and being stranded in Linens n' Things for an hour or two. Halfway during that adventure, I came across a bin of really brightly colored fish and eel Moshi pillows. After some digging, I found a wonderfully neutral-colored penguin with red earmuffs and a bowtie. It was like love at first sight.

Or maybe not that intense. But it was exciting to buy myself a stuffed animal (granted, it's stuffed with thousands of little poisonous beads that can potentially kill me if I claw at it in my sleep) for the first time is years.

His name is Roland, after the Interpol song I'm beginning to listen to more frequently.

So yeah, the other day I thought it would be neat to shove him into the hood of my jacket and take pictures of myself in such fashion. Of the tens and tens I took (while blinded by thick black cotton), the above picture is the only decent one I got. Edited the bathroom background out in Photoshop.

I've gotten what I'd like to call positive feedback on Myspace. Hah.
